Your Greek are perfect, but to be 100% precise the famous phrase is "Λεφτά υπάρχουν".
Unfortunately, the races are fewer in North Greece than in South, so you have to wait more to find one...

| No, you got the wrong phrase. It's "Αρκούδες Υπάρχουν". But instead of that you could use "Μαζί τα φάγαμε". |

Elisabeth, I would suggest you to join the club "Σύλλογος Δρομέων Υγείας Θεσσαλονίκης" (sdyth). They are usually participating in road and mountain races of different distances around Greece. Their web page (http://www.sdyth.gr/) is not so informative but you can easily follow their activities through facebook. Enjoy!

thank you for the suggestion, corredor! :-) I'll have a look at the site and the facebook page. I don't intend to travel to any races, though, it's just not possible for me with my obligations. I'll keep my eye on the site, though, in case anything comes up nearer to home! :-)

Thanks for your suggestion, Nikos. Unfortunately, I will have to wait for a race in Thessaloniki.... even if I have to wait til the ATGM next year.. :-( I was hoping that there were other races that I wasn't aware of, but it seems that there are not.
I'm thinking of maybe running the 20km in Sept/Oct.... but I don't know.... I have only ever run 15kms... so I don't know if I would be able to run 20.... and my time would be terrible!! lol!!
I will join the site that you and corredor suggest... and see what happens! :-) |

I would like to get some more information about the 20 km race in Thessaloniki in October? Who can help me a little bit? Does it still take place in first Sunday of October? How can I register, can I do it online?
